  1. Automatic positioning of fields (labels or controls) based on the visibility of another field

    Hi,

Sorry if this feature already there.. Otherwise I really believe its a must have feature.

There are situations some labels or fields on some section of the report needs to hidden. But the problem is in those situation those spaces the hidden control occupied is retaining there. So there will be spaces above those visible fields.

So my request is when ever a hidden field is there we can set a property on that field itself for pushing the bottom fields into its position. That can give a nice formatting for the report

Hope you can integrate that feature…

  2. Make it possible for you to write your own export function

Make the data inside the report available after the report is generated. So we can iterate over the pages, sections and finally the fields in the details section. That way you can extract all the data inside the report and write it out to a file exactly the way you want it. The ultimate solution for exporting data from a report.

  3. At desig time. Select the sections that should be included in the export.

You need a property on the sections and the controls on the report that tells if it should be included in the export or not.
Today, when you export a report to excel the report is bloated with formatting. The end user must use a lot of time trying to clean up excel sheet before it can be used. Removing page footers and headers and unwanted columns as a result of the messed up formatting.

Running the report twice using hiding is not a good solution.
